The Great Flydini
Jarvis Howell has taken his deadpan look and created his version of Flydini. Not for the kids shows, but it brings down the house. This novelty act was originally performed by Steve Martin many years ago. The act in the video was developed for adult (pg-13) magic shows. Please note: Jarvis fully acknowledges that this act was fashioned after Steve Martin. On one level it is a parody of that act and can never achieve the Martin stature. On the other hand, most of magic is aversion of someone elses material. Magic is like repertory theater, showing someones rendition of a classic act. Like all copy artists, they generally do not rise to the level of the original. This was an amateur magic club who put on a show for a civic charity, please keep thatin perspective.
